Summary I could have taken stay order from the court but I decided with leaders' advice to go to my people

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Former Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has on Sunday challenged Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to contest against him. He said that he could have obtained a stay order from the court against the tribunal’s verdict but decided to go to the people after consulting with the leadership, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a public meeting at the opening ceremony of a campaign office for NA-122 by-election in Lahore’s Ichhra market, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Ayaz Sadiq said that the people of Pakistan diverted the ‘tsunami’ in 2013 and will do the same in 2015. He said that the people gave him 93,000 votes in the General Election and will give him 150,000 votes in the by-election.

“For those who have been unable to digest Metro Bus, Orange Line Metro is also being launched”, said Sadiq. He said that he will request Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to keep the fare of Metro Train also at Rs. 20.

Challenging Imran Khan to personally contest against him, Ayaz Sadiq said that if Imran is courageous enough, he should contest the election against him. “Fight Nawaz Sharif’s worker before challenging the Prime Minister himself”, said Ayaz Sadiq.

Ayaz Sadiq said that the sit-ins brought irreparable losses to the country. “We want to do the kind of politics that benefits the country”, he added.
