KARACHI (Dunya News) – The target killer, Wasi Haider who belongs to a political party and was involved in killing of clerics, police officers and traders was arrested by Central Zone police in Karachi, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the police raided the Federal B Area after being anonymously tipped off and reportedly took in custody Wasi Haider who belongs to a political party.

Haider had moved to Karachi from Hyderabad in 2002. The suspect has reportedly revealed in the preliminary investigation that he is one of the suspects who chased Mufti Shamzai ahead of his murder.

He also confessed to killing police inspector Nasirul Hassan at Lines area in 2009 and an employee of High Court, Bashir Ahmed in 2010.

He further confessed involvement in murder of Maulana Abdul Majeed Din Puri, Hafiz Muhammad Ehsan Ali Shah and Mufti Saleh Muhammad Qazi in 2013.

The target killer has also revealed he killed traders and opponent parties’ members for not giving extortion money. The police have transferred the accused to unknown location for investigation after recovering weapons and grenade from him.
