KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh’s Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday lashed out at the Nawaz-led government saying that the provincial government won’t let Sindh’s gas go outside if demands are not met, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Shah slapped the federal government with a series of allegations. The Nandipur power project was the subject of special criticism.
He alleged Nawaz government of commissioning expensive projects and taking kickbacks, and claimed that Nandipur is the most expensive project in the world.
Shah claimed the tariff of the project would be Rs 35 per unit. He also raised questions on transparency of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park project as well.
Accusing Punjab government of nepotism, he asked if the energy purchase agreement of this project was signed. He said those who view Sindh as corrupt should also see this project.
The Finance Minister said that Punjab government has completed half of its tenure but hasn’t done anything to curb the electricity load shedding. “They earlier said they would end the energy crisis in 6 months”, he said.
He said Nawaz-led federal government has rejected all of Sindh’s projects to curb load shedding. “The rulers should consider Sindh a part of Pakistan too”, he said.
