Summary Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi said Pakistan wants better relations with India
NEW DELHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi Abdul Basit has on Sunday said that some elements don’t want the relations between Pakistan and India to improve. He said that Pakistan wants better relations with India, reported Dunya News.
Abdul Basit said that both the countries should resolve the Kashmir issue through talks but some elements on both sides of the border do not want peace. He said that Jamat-ud-Daawa (JUD) is under surveillance and the moment some evidence is found against the organization, action will be taken.
Pakistani High Commissioner in India said that Pakistan suffered the most from terrorism. He said that 60,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives to this war on terrorism so far and Pakistan has shunned terrorism the most.
Answering a question regarding Dawood Ibrahim, Basit said that baseless rumors are being spread in the Indian media. He said that all outstanding issues between India and Pakistan will be resolved once the Kashmir issue gets resolved. He said that peace should be discussed in both the countries instead of war.
