Summary National Accountability Bureau is not an independent institution and has many flaws
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani said on Saturday that the country needs to have effective judiciary. He said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is not an independent institution and has many flaws in its laws, reported Dunya News.
Talking during a ceremony at the Supreme Court, Raza Rabbani said that NAB is not an independent institution and it talks of plea-bargain. He said that police in Pakistan should be made independent and accountable.
Raza Rabbani said that the constitution has been suspended several times, emergency had been imposed, Judges were forced to take oath under PCO but the parliament will never ratify martial. Chairman Senate further said that protections should be provided to prosecutors, judges and witnesses.
