Govt asks ADB for help again, Jamshoro power project needs funding

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government on Thursday has filed a request in Asian Development Bank (ADB) for loan pertaining to setting up Jamshoro power project’s second unit.

In context of the ingoing energy crisis in Pakistan, the government has once again asked the ADB for help. The bank has been requested to provide another loan for second unit of the power plant.

Earlier, the Asian bank had funded Jamshoro project’s coal plant.
In addition to the loan for the power plant, the government has applied for another USD 100 million to lay Kotri railways track.

The ADB has assured Pakistani authorities of forming an effective policy for funding of the projects soon.
