Summary PTI members protested on the stairs of Punjab Assembly against Election Commission officials
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has on Monday announced to submit a resolution against Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officials in Punjab Assembly. Members of PTI also protested against ECP officials outside Punjab Assembly, reported Dunya News.
The Opposition parties’ protest against the ECP officials is also intensifying now on the floor of the assembly. PTI members registered their protest against the ECP officials outside the assembly hall in Lahore and raised slogans against them. Opposition members said that it has been proven after the Judicial commission’s report and the decisions by Election Tribunals that the ECP officials are involved in rigging and they should resign immediately now.
Opposition members demanded that if the ECP officials do not resign voluntarily then the government should start legal proceedings against them because free and fair elections cannot be expected under the current ECP officials.
Opposition member Khadija Farooq submitted a resolution condemning the Indian violation of the Working Boundary and the Line of Control (LOC) while a resolution was also submitted demanding action against the makers and sellers of fake cosmetics.
The house was told on this occasion that 21 sugar mill owners have not yet paid the dues of the farmers and the relevant DCOs have been directed to proceed against these owners.
