Punjab Bar Council strikes, hearing of BB murder case postponed

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday has postponed hearing of Benazir Bhutto murder case due to Punjab Bar Council’s strike and leave of the judge.

Judge Ray Ayub was not present to proceed with the hearing as he is on leave. No counsel showed up for the hearing following Punjab Bar Council’s call for strike in alliance with lawyers  association in Karachi against killing of Ameer Haider Shah, Karachi Bar Association s ex-joint secretary.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also did not file report about United States (US) journalist’s statement.

The hearing has been postponed until September 2.
