KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers authorities on Saturday submitted former petroleum minister Dri Asim Hussain’s medical report in Karachi’s anti-terrorism court (ATC), stating that he is medically fit.
The medical examination was carried out by the Deputy Assistant Director Medical Services.
The report states that the former minister is being provided complete medical assistance and his blood sugar level is normal.
Rangers law officer informed court that there is no need to move Asim Hussain to hospital. He has been provided all the medicines he needed.
The court was further informed that a medical team has been appointed to take care of the accused.
Asim Hussain, a close aide of PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, was handed over by ATC in Rangers custody on 90-day remand for his alleged involvement in corruption, assisting the terrorists and land grabbing.
Rangers authorities are engaged in a large-scale anti-crime and anti-terrorism operation in Karachi, the capital of the Sindh province, which the PPP governs.
Authorities say action against corrupt officials and terror financiers is a key component.
