Summary Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar met British Foreign Secretary in London.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar called on British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond in London today, the Radio Pakistan reported.
During the meeting, the British Foreign Secretary urged Pakistan and India to come to the negotiating table for resolving all the issues.
The statement comes a day after Indian Border Security Forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC), killing eight Pakistanis and injuring more than 40 others in different Sialkot sectors.
The firing comes less than a week after planned National Security Advisor level talks between Pakistan and India were aborted amid a row over Kashmir, the Himalayan territory both sides control in part but claim in full.
Philip Hammond lauded Pakistan s efforts for peace in the region and said they acknowledge the peace vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He also expressed the hope that there would be no disruption in dialogue process in Afghanistan and it would move forward. He assured British support in this regard.
