LAHORE (Dunya News) – Security employees of Metro Bus project closed tracks of Metro Bus to protest against delay in salary and fine system. Passengers faced distress as travel along Metro Bus route choked on Thursday, reported Dunya News.

Employees of Metro Bus protested at Kalma Chowk, Lahore as they closed bus route from both sides and shouted slogans against authorities. The security personnel said that in spite of the minimum wage bar being set at Rs 13,000, they are being paid a meager 8000 rupees per month while no holiday is being given as well.

Passengers faced great difficulty in travelling across Kalma Chowk as protesters closed down the metro tracks from both side. One man allegedly broke a window pane of a metro bus and has been taken into custody by the police.
