ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Attock tragedy seems to have woken up Islamabad police as well. Police on Monday have decided to keep a strict check on the people entering or going of the religious seminaries and their data will be collected in the local police stations. The seminaries will be supervised by police, reported Dunya News.
In a high level meeting headed by IG Tahir Alam Khan, police decided to supervise the religious seminaries. IG police said that the people coming into or going of the 329 seminaries of Islamabad will be checked and their data will be collected in the relevant police stations.
According to IG Islamabad, there are 207 Deobandi, 105 Barelvi, 9 Ahle-Hadith and 8 Ahle-Tashee seminaries in Islamabad. 19,100 male and 8400 female students study in these seminaries, he told.
