ISLAMABAD: Google has continued its customary annual traditions and celebrated Pakistan’s 69th Independence Day with a doodle. It is the fifth consecutive year in which the tech-giant has posted one of its customized logos. This year’s doodle is arguably the most elegant of the lot.

This year the inspiration comes from the amazing Lahore Fort, locally referred to as Shahi Qila. It is a citadel in the city of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is located in the northwestern corner of the Walled City of Lahore in Iqbal Park.

On the other hand, Facebook presented an innovative way for users mark independence, allowing them to update their status with a mood setting of “celebrating Independence Day” and sharing it with their friends and family on the social network.
