Summary Qinqis have been banned under motor vehicle ordinance
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Citizens of the metropolis city face trouble ahead of Qinqi ban as dearth of alternative transport spells trouble for the users of the public transport, reported Dunya News.
Traffic police is enforcing Sindh High Court’s decision to ban the three-wheeler transport with full zest. Few Chinqis can be spotted throughout the city most of which have been stopped by the traffic police.
The ban however caused inconvenience to citizens as they were routinely used on short routes by commuters. The upside of the ban on the three-wheelers is that traffic jams have become less frequent which were found to be the reason of many a traffic jam throughout the city.
The ban on Qinqis has been placed due to motor vehicle ordinance according to which every vehicle travelling on road must be registered, which is not applicable in Qinqis case.
