RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited the flood-hit areas of Layyah and examined the rescue and relief operations there. He directed that all steps must be taken to provide relief to the flood victims, reported Dunya News.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department, Raheel Sharif visited Layyah and examined the rescue and relief activities in the flood-hit areas. He expressed grief over the losses suffered due to the floods. He directed the commanders to stay alert for relief operation. He ordered to take all possible steps to ensure relief to the flood victims.
Raheel Sharif also met the internally displaced family from North Waziristan living in Layyah and assured them of respectable return to their homes.
