ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has on Monday announced to oppose the resolutions by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) resolutions to de-seat Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members from parliament. JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman also hinted at withdrawing the resolution, reported Dunya News.

Addressing the National Assembly, Ishaq Dar said that the government wanted PTI to play its role in the parliament. “If resolutions are brought against PTI tomorrow, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) will oppose them”, he announced. Ishaq Dar said that Maulana has also hinted at withdrawing the resolution.

“It is hoped that MQM leadership will withdraw the resolution after consultation among the leaders so that voting on the resolution can be avoided. It will be good if MQM withdraws the resolution”, said Dar. He said that all should be on one page to take the country forward. “We shall have to work together on issues including Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC)”, he said. “We want the political parties to work in collaboration for electoral reforms”, he added.

During the break, PTI members went to Ishaq Dar’s seat to thank him. On the other hand, Jamaat Islami (JI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have also announced to oppose the resolutions.
