Summary Those who looted the country will face accountability, he said
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq Wednesday said that the ‘political terrorists’ have held the country hostage, adding that “the self-serving group that has looted Pakistan will be brought to accountability”, Dunya News reported.
Addressing at a seminar in Rawalpindi, Haq said that Pakistan was occupied by ‘British loyalists’ even after its independence, adding that people are still deprived of ‘Islamic Pakistan’.
He said that the country faces not only the armed terrorism but also the ‘political terrorism’. He said that the ‘political terrorists’ have held 180 million people hostage.
The Jamaat chief said that reason of devastating flood is the failure to build dams, adding that India is building dams after blocking Pakistan’s water.
The federal government doesn’t have a single rupee reserved to build dams, he said.
He demanded the government to end the load shedding and to build a hundred dams.
Sirajul Haq endorsed the negotiation process between the Afghan government and Taliban and said that this process should continue because peace in Pakistan is not possible without peace in Afghanistan.
