ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said on Saturday that in the aftermath of the report of Judicial Commission, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should resign. He said that call for the establishment of a Judicial Commission was justified, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media at Bani Gala, Imran Khan said that report of inquiry commission is a part of making  Naya Pakistan . He said that there is no need to get disappointed as PTI’s demands were justified.

He said that the struggle for the past 2 years had raised the level of awareness in people regarding their electoral rights adding that no elections since the one in 1970 had been fair and free.

Imran Khan said that those talking of ‘London Plan’ should be ashamed of themselves. He said that he had gone everywhere to open the 4 constituencies adding that the purpose of opening constituencies was to bring reforms in next election.

Criticizing former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Chaudhary, he said that the CJ that took suo-moto against prices of onion had admitted himself that there were more than 2,000 cases pending.

He demanded as to why PM Nawaz had not opened the constituencies before. The PM, he said, should apologize.

He emphasized weakness in Election Commission saying that the report of Judicial Commission had said that there is dearth of regulations in the system. Director General Election Commission had no idea of additional ballot papers, he said, which pointed out major flaws in result management system.

Imran Khan demanded that members of Election Commission should resign in the aftermath of the report. He wondered aloud whether who would decide that these mistakes were mere lapses or organized rigging.

Chairman PTI reiterated his stance that he will accept Judicial Commission’s decision no matter what. He admired the work of Chief Justice who, he said, had raised expectations. He further added that form 15 were not present in 35 percent of the polling bags although law states that Returning Officers (RO) will tell the results from Form 15.
