Summary He said Ittefaq Foundry paid all the loans including interest in December last year
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that they can ‘proclaim with honour’ that they never had any loan written off from any public institution, adding that their assets were with the banks.
According to details, CM Punjab said he always pays his debts and that he is proud to say that all loans payable by Ittefaq Foundry have been paid off.
He said they paid the loans in December last year in the amount of Rs 5.22 billion and 8 million including interests.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the banks even issued them the clearance certificates, adding that those certificates were issued after Ittefaq Foundry and all affiliated companies paid all of their debt along with markup.
He also showed the receipts given by the bank to the media. Speaking to the media, he said former President Pervez Musharraf also engaged in ‘revengeful acts’ by forming reference against Ittefaq Foundry.
“If there was any reality in the Ittefaq Foudry reference then the court would have decided that”, he said, adding that there’s no truth to stories being published in the press and that media should be careful.
