Summary PM appreciated Malala's personal interest for the cause of promotion of education.

OSLO (Web Desk) - Nobel laureate and child education activist Malala Yousufzai on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of Oslo Summit in Norway.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said the Government of Pakistan is determined to improve quality of education and ensure gender equality. He said significant steps have been taken for the promotion of rights of women, children and minorities.

He said the government is committed to increase education spending up to four percent of GDP.

The premier also appreciated Malala s personal interest for the cause of promotion of education.

He said the government has made a strong resolve to eliminate terrorism which will help attain our dream of providing better education to all. The sacrifices of those who suffered at the hands of terrorists would not go in vain.

Nawaz Sharif once again congratulated Malala on being the recipient of the Nobel Peace Price in 2014 and regarded her the pride of Pakistan.

Malala appreciated the steps taken by the government in improving the state of education in the country.
