Summary Pillion riding has also been banned on July 8 and 9 in various parts of Pakistan.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Law enforcement agencies have beefed up the security arrangement across the country for Youm-e-Ali (RA) as at least 10,763 police and Rangers personnel would be deployed to monitor the security of the processions and majalis.

The administration has also been directed to establish watch tower and to do sweeping with the help of bomb disposal squad (BDS).

Earlier, pillion riding has been banned on July 8 and 9 in Hyderabad and Karachi due to Youm-e-Ali (RA). The ban on Pillion riding has also been enforced on the routes of procession in Lahore.

Strict security measures have been put in place countrywide for Youm-e-Ali (RA). Pillion riding has been banned on the recommendation of Sindh Police for July 8 and 9.

The ban will also be enforced in Hyderabad and Sukkur. According to sources in Interior Ministry, pillion riding will also be banned on the routes of procession as a recommendation has already
