Summary Up to 71 'punctures' were inflicted across as many constituencies, said Jehangir Tareen
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jehangir Tareen said on Tuesday that additional ballots were printed in 71 constituencies in a bid to commit organized rigging whereas only 2 constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) had irregularities, reported Dunya News.
Talking in a press conference, Jehangir Tareen said that up to 71 ‘punctures’ were inflicted across as many constituencies as additional ballots were printed.
He said that in KP additional ballot papers were printed in only Captain(R) Safdar and Jamat-e-Islami’s constituencies adding that Judicial Commission had been given more than enough evidence to prove the rigging.
Jehangir Tareen said that Election Commission and lawyers of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) could not give adequate answers regarding the printing of additional ballot papers. He said the motive behind printing additional ballot papers was political not administrative.
PTI leadership said that PML-N has failed to provide masses with electricity and water while power shortages are spanning up to 16 hours per day which will increase next year. The party leaders said that PTI is preparing for local body elections and expressed hope that PTI will emerge victorious in the coming elections..
