Summary Capacity building and training of teachers is our top priority, says CEO PGC Mian Aamir Mahmood

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Teachers Training and Capacity Building sessions for the year 2015 were held by Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC). 123 teachers from 6 colleges attended the 3-day session at Punjab College of Commerce Campus, located in Gulberg area of Lahore. CEO PGC Mian Aamir Mahmood said that the capacity building and training of teachers is PGC’s top priority, reported Dunya News.

Master Trainers and Resource Persons from Punjab College delivered lectures during this session on their respective subjects and trained the teacher on how they should be teaching their students. It focused on the training of the teachers in fields where the teachers needed the training the most.

Professor Syed Ejaz Bukhari, professional trainer, delivered a comprehensive lecture on teaching techniques in order to enlighten the teachers on how they can improve their lectures and training techniques. Participants took active interest in his lecture and appreciated the points that he discussed during his lecture.

Laboratory practicals were performed on this occasion in order to clarify the concepts of the teachers teaching FSC and BSC students.

In the end, Dr. Akram Kashmiri emphasized before the teachers on the need to continuously updating their knowledge in accordance with the latest trends and not to limit themselves to text books only. Participant appreciated the training workshop and said that it should be extended to more days, at least 4 if not more, in the future.
