Summary The deaths have occurred due insensitivity of rulers, Reham told media.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Reham Khan, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan, on Saturday visited Jinnah Hospital in Karachi to inquire about health of heat stroke patients but it was too late.

The hospital administration told Reham that all heat stroke patients have been discharged.

Talking to media on the occasion, she admitted the delay in her visit.

Khan said nobody is willing to accept responsibility for heat wave deaths. The deaths have occurred due insensitivity of the rulers.

She said the authorities will only feel sufferings of the masses if they come out of their air-conditioned rooms.

More than 65,000 people suffered heatstroke during the two-week heat wave, which started on June 19 and has just subsided — the majority of which were in Karachi.

The total number of dead is around 1,300, according to the provincial government of Sindh.
