Summary Hamza Sugar Mills occupies 800 kanals of land from the govt property

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) has termed Hamza Sugar Mills’ occupation of 800 kanal government property as illegal and ordered the Revenue Department to recover the held land, Dunya News reported.

According to details, a two-member bench of Lahore High Court heard the case in which it was submitted to the court that the government property was barren but was populated on own expenses.

The superior court, however, termed the occupation as illegal and ordered the Revenue Department to recover it.

It was stated in the verdict that no agreement took place between the Revenue Department and the Sugar Mills in this regard, adding that the Sugar Mills is not even ready to pay the government an amount in form of rent or compensation.
