Summary Arrested employees include Director and Deputy Director

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 9 ‘ghost’ employees including Director Education of Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Saturday. Deputy Administration had set aside 21 employees as help at his home while 64-year-old mother in law was also benefitting from pension as well. Shahid Hayat has said that all characters of BBC report are residing outside the country, reported Dunya News.

Dunya News had identified the misuse of public money earlier.

Talking to media at a press conference, Director FIA said that Deputy Administration of KMC had taken 21 employees to serve at his home while his 64-year-old mother in law was getting her pension as well.

The arrested employees have claimed that they used to collect extortion on monthly basis and send it to high ranking officials adding that a director would get 1.5 million rupees per month.

Director FIA Sindh Shahid Hayat has said that KMC spends a total of 180 million rupees on education per month out of which 30 million rupees are used in corruption.

Shahid Hayat has said that all characters of BBC report are residing outside the country which will be brought back to country for justice.

He said that 9 people have been arrested which includes Director and Deputy Director.
