Summary Security agencies arrested the Al-Qaeda member in an operation near Jinnah Hospital, Lahore

LAHORE:  (Dunya News) – Important Al-Qaeda member has on Saturday been arrested by the security agencies in an operation near Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. The suspect was allegedly involved in funding the Afghan Taliban and spreading sectarian hate material, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, the Al-Qaeda member, named Hassan Zaheer, was highly wanted for assisting 4 terrorists financially and medically in 2010 in Town Ship area of Lahore had fled to North Waziristan. The suspect settled in a house on Canal Road after coming back from North Waziristan. Security agencies acted after receiving information about him and raided the house to arrest Hassan Zaheer.

It has been discovered in the initial inquiry that the suspect was involved in funding the Afghan Taliban and used people to spread sectarian hatred.

Hundreds of thousands of rupees in cash, Jihadi literature and other material were found with the suspect.
