Summary Zardari and Faryal Talpur are still in Dubai
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made emergency return to Karachi from Dubai and is expected to announce a new road map for the party, Dunya News reported.
Meanwhile, the key PPP leadership including co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur are still in Dubai.
According to details, PPP leaders’ travel to Dubai sparked a fresh round of rumours among the upset local leaders and workers; however, Bilawal announced the immediate return to keep workers’ spirits high.
The PPP had to take defensive stance after Asif Zardari’s aggressive speech. His iftar dinner could also not achieve the intended goal. The arrests of government officers and front men continued whereas some politicians and bureaucrats secured pre-arrest bails.
On one hand, preparations to contest local body elections in Punjab are underway and on the other hand the series of arrests in Karachi is on the peak but PPP seems to be in confusion amid the current situation.
