Summary Pakistan requested proofs of the allegations, demanded details of the inquiries from MQM leaders
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has on Friday written a letter to the British government on the advice of Interior Ministry, seeking assistance over the report aired by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Pakistan requested the proofs of the allegations leveled by the report on MQM and also demanded the details of the investigations of the MQM leaders, reported Dunya News.
Foreign Ministry has stated in the letter that Pakistan has serious concerns over the revelations made by the British state media and demanded to keep Pakistan updated with the investigations.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had demanded access to the facts after his meeting with the British High Commissioner on Thursday. He had said that the government of Pakistan will reach the bottom of the allegations leveled at the MQM.
It is pertinent to mention here that serious allegations had been leveled at MQM in a BBC report, aired on Wednesday, accusing MQM of receiving funds from India.
