Summary A 16-year-old boy Farhan succumbed to injuries however, Fahad is said to be in a critical condition.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday has taken notice of shooting as many as two boys for brandishing toy gun in Faisalabad, Dunya News reported.



As per details, the police officers opened fire at the boys mistaking them for robbers when they were doing photoshoot with a toy gun in Madina Town area of Faisalabad. The victims were taken to the civil hospital for medicinal treatment where a 16-year-old boy Farhan succumbed to the injuries, however, Fahad has been reported in a critical condition.



On the other hand, police personnel uttered different story, stating that they raided the area on a tip off received about the presence of criminal elements. They said that alleged dacoits opened gun shots at them, retaliating to which cops apprehended one bandit while his accomplice fled the scene.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Madina Town, the accused Senior House Officer (SHO) has been taken into custody whereas Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) formed a committee to probe into the matter.

Moreover, CM Shahbaz has directed Inspector General (IG) to submit the report of the incident as early as possible.
