Four TMO officials' sent on 14-day physical remand in NAB custody

KARACHI (Dunya News) - An accountability court in Karachi has sent officials of Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Sehwan, Zahoor Shahani, Rehmat Memon and Idrees Memon and TMO Sajawal, Mumtaz Zardari on 14-day physical remand in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) custody, Dunya News reported on Friday.

The detained officials were presented before the court by NABwho requested the judge for the suspects remand for interrogation in the case of embezzlement of millions of rupees.

The court remanded the suspects in NAB custody for 14 days.

TMO Sajawal Mumtaz Zardari was also presented before the court. NAB’s law officer stated that the suspect as TMO Sajawal have done corruption of millions of rupees whereas he has to be investigated for Rs10 crore corruption.

 

The court also granted his physical remand for 14 days.

The culprits were arrested on corruption charges a day before during raid at TMO office.
