LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday has sought explanation from NADRA officials in ten days for not issuing identity cards to overseas Pakistanis on time, Dunya News reported.
The hearing was headed by Justice Farrukh Irfan in which the petitioner’s counsel adopted the stance that NADRA is not issuing identity cards to overseas Pakistanis timely due to which they are facing difficulties.
The judge remarked that overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the nation whereas it is a matter of public interest therefore; the government should at once resolve the issue.
The court while adjourning the hearing sought explanation from NADRA authorities in ten days.
