Summary The execution will be deferred until after Eid if the black warrant is not issued today
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The jail authorities have been reported to be delaying death row inmate Shafqat Husain’s execution as nobody approached court for issuance of death warrant.
As the black warrant is not issued today the execution has been deferred until after Eid.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) had rejected Hussain’s appeal against Islamabad High Court (IHC) verdict.
However, recently European Union (EU) delegation held a meeting with Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah and urged him to annul the criminal’s death penalty.
