Summary Farooq Sattar termed it a traditional budget catering privileged class
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Sunday said while presenting his party’s stance that the budget for fiscal year 2015-16 is a traditional budget, adding that it caters only to the privileged class.
He said that the government needs to change its priority and reduce sales tax and extortion on petroleum products in order to en route the country towards progress.
Addressing a press conference at Khursheed Begum Secretariat along with MQM Senators and lawmakers, Farooq Sattar termed the budget a traditional budget catering to privileged class, feudal lords and capitalist society.
Sattar demanded that people be provided relief by reducing the prices of electricity, oil, gas and petroleum products.
