All vacant LHC seats filled, ten judges to be sworn in on June 8

Summary LHC Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik will administer oath to judges on June 8.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – All vacant seats of judges have been filled for the first time in the Lahore High Court’s history as ten newly-appointed judges will take oath on June 8.

Number of positions at the LHC is 60 which were never ever filled, resulting in prolonged delay in hearing of the cases.

The Law Ministry has forwarded a notification to LHC registrar regarding appointment of ten new judges while LHC Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik will administer oath to these judges on June 8.

Invitations for the event have been forwarded to representatives of bar associations and senior lawyers.
