Summary Nisar was laid to rest after thousands participated in funeral prayer
LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – The dead body of a local journalist Adnan Nisar that had drowned in canal at Batapur area of Lahore has been returned to the family after autopsy.
Nisar was laid to rest after thousands participated in funeral prayer.
The Station House Officer (S.H.O) said the deceased fell into the canal while trying to save his wife and no sign of torture was found on his body.
Reportedly, the deceased journalist went at the canal along with family for recreation and his wife fell into the canal after slipping. Nisar jumped in order to save his wife and drowned while rescuing her wife.
Nisar’s wife was rescued and is safe.
