KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday took notice of brutal beating of journalists by the police commandos outside Sindh High Court on Saturday, and assured the investigation will be completed in five days, Dunya News reported.

CM Sindh appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ameer Sheikh as inquiry officer.

According to details, crime reporters met CM Sindh at Chief Minister House and informed him about the police’s brutality on the reporters that took place yesterday.

Terming the incident condemnable, CM Sindh assured the journalists that independent inquiry of the incident will take place. He said that a committee headed by DIG Ameer Sheikh has been formed which will take action against the culprits after completing inquiry in five days.

Shah said that there’s a difference in democracy and dictatorship, adding that this will reflect in the inquiry.
