Summary District administration has banned exhibition of weapons, use of loudspeakers in public meetings
PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Peshawar district administration has on Sunday imposed ban on pillion riding for one month in the city. It has also banned the exhibition of weapons in public and use of loudspeakers in public meetings, reported Dunya News.
According to the notice issued from Deputy Commissioner’s office, Section 144 has been imposed in the city for the local body election which is due to be held on May 30. Under Section 144, pillion riding, use of loudspeakers in public meetings and exhibition of weapons have been banned in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Riaz Mehsood has said warned that the candidates must avoid exhibition of weapons and use of loudspeaker otherwise strong action will be taken.
