ATC indicts two suspects in Zahra Shahid murder case

KARACHI (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has indicted two more suspects of Zahra Shahid murder case on Friday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the ATC hearing was held in central jail where the suspects Irfan alias Lamba and Kaleem were presented before the court.

The court indicted both the suspects however; they refused to accept the charges and pleaded not guilty.

The court while adjourning the hearing has directed the prosecution to produce all the witnesses on June 1.

Earlier, the court indicted the two companions of the suspects named Rashid Tailor and Zahid Zaidi who also pleaded innocence before the court.

The senior Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) leader was gunned down on May 18, 2013 near her home in Karachi’s Defence House Authority (DHA).

A case was registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 at the Gizri police station after her murder.
