LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chairman and Director General (DG) National Database and Regulatory Authority (NADRA) on Saturday have recorded their statements over the alleged rigging in NA-122 during 2013 election, Dunya News reported.

Justice Kazim Malik of election tribunal heard the case during which Chairman NADRA Usman Mubeen stated that the forensic report was prepared as per law and after verifying thumb impressions whereas DG NADRA Syed Muzaffar Ali said that the process of verification of votes is not an easy task as low standard ink was used in during the polling.

Sources have told that the counsels of Imran Khan restricted to give any argument on the report while counsel of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq advised the authorities to mull the report as the 6123 votes, who were declared fake by NADARA, had minor mistakes in ID cards.

He further lashed out at DG NADRA and urged him to file report after analyzing all the necessary elements.

On the other hand, NADRA officials assured to submit the forensic report of PP-147 on May 25.

Subsequently, election tribunal has adjourned the hearing of NA-122 case till May 26
