MULTAN: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Friday urged the residents of Multan PP-196 to vote against the government policies in May 21 by-election. He said that the by-poll of 21st May will prove to be a protest by Multan residents against the fake promises made by the government, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a public meeting in Multan, Imran Khan said that those who cannot stand for their rights would never get their rights. He said that only two political parties have been ruling the country since 1970. “Nation is getting poorer while the rulers are getting richer. And now their next generations are ready”, he said.

Imran Khan said that the ‘Naya Pakistan’ is on one side while those ruling the country in turns are on the other. He said that one seat never mattered for him. “I haven’t come here for a seat, I have come here to wake Multan up”, he said. He said that it was a contest between two ideologies. “Have the rulers’ promises ended load shedding? People are facing corruption and load shedding even today”, he said.

Chairman PTI said that the nations cannot progress by building motorways, bridges, underpasses and roads. “Does Pakistan need metro bus or education and health?” he questioned. He said that nations prosper when funds are spent on education and health. “More than 250 million Pakistani students are out of school but the rulers will never make schools because they get commission only by building metro buses, roads and bridges”, he added.

“There is no merit system in the largest city of Pakistan. Police have been politicized in Karachi”, said Imran. “Punjab police have also become ‘Sharif Force’. On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) police have become exemplary due to our policies”, he added. Imran said that 60% of the crimes have been curbed in KP and people are getting justice there.
