Summary Government assured the protestors to review the decision to impose taxes
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Owners of showrooms across the city protested on Jail Road against the decision of Punjab government to impose a 17% sales tax on transactions of used cars, reported Dunya News.
A protest organized by car dealers association gave a strike against the decision to levy 17% tax on buying and selling of used cars.
The protestors took out a rally and shouted slogans against Punjab government.
The protestors blocked Jail Road near Tollinton market.
Long rows of cars remained stuck on areas adjacent to Ferozpur road and Jail road because of the road block by protestors due to which citizens faced problems.
The protestors have demanded the decision to levy tax to be rolled back immediately.
The protest by car dealers brough fruit soon as government and protestors brokered a successful deal.

The protestors dispersed after assurance from government, removing the blockade which allowed the traffic control to return to normality.
