LHC forms larger bench to hear disqualification petition against PM Nawaz

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) has formed a larger bench to hear the disqualification petition against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s for possessing foreign assets, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

According to details, the larger bench consists of five judges who include Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan, Justice Ayesha A. Malik, Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan, Justice Faisal Zaman Khan and Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf.

The larger bench will conduct hearing from May 8.

Petitioner’s lawyer Barrister Iqbal Jaffari filed the case in 1991, according to which PM Nawaz had illegal assets abroad which are harming the national exchequer therefore; he should be disqualified from his post and his assets should be confiscated.
