BADIN (Dunya News) – Police contingent deployed at Zulfiqar Mirza’s house have been removed today (Wednesday) whereas the entry and exit points have also been unsealed, Dunya News reported.
Mirza’s lawyer had filed a contempt of court petition against the siege of farmhouse as Sindh High Court (SHC) granted ‘protective bail’ to Mirza in four criminal cases pertaining to the attack and ransacking of a police station in district Badin.
A strong contingent of heavily armed police personnel and armoured personnel carriers (APC) surrounded Mirza s farms whereas all the entry and exit points were also sealed on which Zulfiqar Mirza’s wife Fahmida Mirza showed great anger and fury and said that the police is ignoring the orders of SHC.
Earlier, Former Sindh Home Minister Zulifqar Mirza and Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Abdul Qadir Samoo on Sunday exchanged harsh words after police officials attempted to nab close companion of Zulfiqar Mirza.
As per details, enraged Mirza stormed the Badin police station and broke the table glass and mobile phone of security officer as arguments turned violent.
The officers said that Mirza has threatened them with indecent language whereas he further stated that the administration would be responsible if any of his companions or supporters were harmed.
