Summary Members of assembly will only attend to legislation, said Imran Khan
Shangla (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday that revolution will come in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) due to local body elections. He said that powers will be transferred to grass root level while members of assembly will only attend to legislation, reported Dunya News.
Addressing the crowd at Bisham, Imran Khan said that the demand for ‘new’ Pakistan means changing the current system, adding that the current system only belongs to the elite.
Commenting on the local body elections in KP, he said that the elections will bring revolution as it will liberate the people.
Imran Khan said that powers will be transferred to grass root level in local body system adding that people will not have to run to Members of Provincial Assembly for jobs.
Members of assembly will only attend to legislation, said Imran Khan.
Chairman PTI said that the rulers stow away money out of the country and areas like Kohistan do not get the appropriate funds for development.
Imran Khan also announced to increase the pay of KP police on the occasion.
