Summary Balochistan Bar Association has decided to boycott courts on Monday to protest MQM chief's statement
LAHORE (Dunya News) -- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to put forward resolutions in National and provincial and assemblies against Altaf Hussain s statements on Saturday. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) will also move to put forward resolutions against Muttahida Qaumi Movement s chief in Senate, reported Dunya News.
After the decision in Balochistan Assembly to pass a resoultion against Altaf Hussain s statements which were cited as hate speech , Punjab and Sindh Assembly have decided to follow suit.
Opposition leader Punjab assembly, Mehmood-ur-Rasheed will move the resolution on Monday in this regard, it is learnt.
Talking to Dunya News, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had said that he condemned Altaf Hussain’s statements and will move for passing a resolution against Altaf Hussain’s statement after consulting with coalition parties.
PML-N has also announced to bring resolution in KP assembly. The party has also announced to move resolutions against Altaf Hussain in Sindh Assembly.
In an emergency meeting by Punjab Bar Council, the decision to move condemnatory resolutions against Altaf Hussain was approved.
