Summary Traders demanded waiver in taxes for losses incurred due to sit-ins and construction of metro bus

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Negotiations between the government and Islamabad traders were successful on Saturday and the shops will be closed down at 9 pm in the federal capital according to the new formula agreed upon by the government and traders. Traders have in turn demanded tax waiver for losses incurred by them due to sit-ins and construction of Metro Bus, reported Dunya News.

The negotiations were held between the government, represented by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) legislator Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and the traders, represented by Chairman Traders Joint Action Committee Abdul Rauf Chaudhry and President Islamabad Chambers Muzammil Sabri.

Talking to media, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that shops will now be closed down by 9 pm in the evening, marriage halls by 10 pm and hotels and restaurants by 11 pm.

However, those who arrive in the restaurant by 11 pm may get 30-minute concession.
