Summary Prime Minister distribured checks among the affectees of the tragedy

 

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz said on Friday that Pakistan has given many sacrifices for the eradication of terrorism while at a check giving ceremony to the flood-stricken people, reported Dunya News.

Addressing the crowd at the ceremony, PM Nawaz said that the victims of rain would not be left alone in their hour of need.

The Prime Minster said that despite giving tremendous sacrifices in the battle against terrorism, the resolve of the country is strong as ever.

Talking about the current state of Karachi, PM said that Karachi had once become the centre of unrest but the recent launch of operation by Pakistan Army had resolved the situation.

The PM sympathized with the victims of the rain, saying that several people lost their homes and many lost their lives during the course of the tragedy. He added that the nation is with them in their time of need.

He applauded the efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government during the relief efforts during the floods adding that Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak’s role in coping with the disaster is commendable.

The Prime Minster expressed his desire to better ties with Afghanistan so that terrorism across the border could be curbed.

Afterwards, the PM distribured checks among the affectees of the tragedy.
