Summary Market built over land allocated for graveyard, say officials; CM bound to act on committee's advice

KARAC HI: (Dunya News) – Sindh government has on Thursday declined from reconstructing the Karachi Timber Market which had caught fire a few months back. Government officials claim that the market had been built over land allocated actually for graveyard while Chief Minister Sindh is bound to act on committee’s advice, reported Dunya News.

The victims of Timber Market fire have received relief cheques from the government but Sindh government has now spoiled any chances that there were of restoration of businesses there. According to the government, all the shops were illegally constructed.

Addressing the cheque distribution ceremony, CM SIndh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that he was bound to act on committee’s advice. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will continue to provide relief to the poor.
