SHC issues notice to federation for not making NCHD's workers permanent

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday has issued notice to federation over the petition filed against not making National Commission for Human Development’s (NCHD’s) employees permanent.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Muneeb Akhtar heard the case during which the plaintiff argued that NCHD had hired as many as three thousand employees on contract for 2004 to 2007 however, these employees have not been made permanent yet.

The petitioner further told the court that the employees are also not getting salary whereas on the other hand, government denied the allegations and said that the affected officials are getting Rs 5000 stipend monthly.

Moreover, the apex court issued notice to federation and relevant department.
